Japanese ambassador visits Herend

The Japanese Embassy and the Herend Porcelain Manufactory have had an excellent relationship for many years, and in honour of this, the recently appointed ambassador came to Herend for a courtesy visit.

The guest was greeted by CEO Dr. Attila Simon. Together, they visited the showroom of the Manufactory, consisting of thousands of Herend works of art, and then the ambassador was introduced to the process of making Herend porcelain and tried porcelain painting herself.

During the pleasant meeting, Herend’s presentation at next year’s World Exhibition in Osaka and the exhibition of Japanese artists at the Herend Porcelain Museum were discussed. The visit ended with a lunch in honour of the ambassador at the Apicius Restaurant in Herend.
